Tuition
Dutton Christian School seeks to provide quality, affordable Christian education to partner with parents in raising children to know and love God. Because of generous gifts from our donors, we are able to keep our costs down. We are so thankful that as donors continue to support our school, we are able to offer scholarships and tuition assistance each year to families in need. Parents are also encouraged to participate in our TRIP (Tuition Reduction Incentive Program). See below for more information on scholarships, tuition assistance, and TRIP.

Tuition Assistance
The Dutton Christian School Board realizes that the financial commitment to Christian education is significant. With this in mind, tuition assistance is available for families needing help with tuition expenses. Applications will be carefully and confidentially reviewed. The Finance Committee will distribute assistance money based on relative need and available funding for the current year. The Finance Committee requests tuition assistance applications be received by June 1 in order to seek adequate funding. The funds will be dispersed by the start of the school year.
FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment will be conducting the tuition assistance financial need analysis for Dutton Christian School for the upcoming school year. Please note, this is ONLY for families who chose to apply for tuition assistance. FACTS charges a $40 application fee for each family that applies for tuition assistance.
Families applying for tuition assistance need to complete an online application and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment. Applicants can apply online at www.factsmgt.com. Once an online application for tuition assistance has been completed, the following information must be scanned to FACTS to complete the application process:
- Copies of the two most recent years' Federal tax forms including all supporting tax schedules
- Copies of the two most recent years of W-2 forms for both you and your spouse
Normally, all supporting documentation can be scanned securely to FACTS via the website. Please see FAQ information on FACTS website for alternate arrangements.
If you have questions or concerns about the application process, you may speak with a FACTS Customer Care Representative at 1-866-315-9262 or contact either school office at 616-698-8660.
Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP)
Through this program, bulk quantities of gift certificates are purchased from various grocery stores, retail stores, and restaurants. These certificates are then sold to participating families at face value with the discount passed on in the form of a tuition credit. DCS will retain a 15% administrative fee on your total earnings for operating costs. Once enrolled you can visit Quick TRIP where you pay for and pick up your certificates at the same time. During the school year, the Weekly TRIP program is available by filling out an order form and bringing it to the school office along with your payment by 8:15 am on Wednesdays and pick up your certificates the following Wednesday afternoon from the North Campus office (unless designated to be sent home with a student).
Quick TRIP
Quick TRIP will be held every 1st and 3rd Wednesday from 8:15 – 9:15 AM and every 2nd and 4th Wednesday from 2:30 – 3:30 PM at the North Campus building during the school year. If there is a 5th Wednesday, Quick TRIP will be held from 8:15 – 9:15 AM at the North Campus.
Weekly TRIP
WEEKLY TRIP orders during the school year must be received by 8:15 am on Wednesday to be processed before the next pick-up date. Updated forms are available and can be turned in at each school office.
TRIP Enrollment
Print off the Registration Form Fillable or call the school office at 616-698-8660 to request a registration form.
Dutton Christian School does not in any way endorse or promote the participating stores.
Scholarships
Dutton Christian School also has a number of scholarships available. These are open to all Dutton Christian families who wish to apply. Funds raised determines the number of scholarships available. Scholarships will be awarded by the start of the school year by our Scholarship Committee.
We are blessed to have 3 endowed scholarship funds and 1 temporary scholarship fund that families have started in the DCS community that are included as part of the scholarship program. Two are memorial scholarships for students at DCS. The Kevin Jay Lucas Memorial Scholarship was created in memory of DCS student Kevin, and has been awarded annually to a family with financial need and primarily to a student that benefits from academic support or some other form of inclusive education. The Jack Boerema Memorial Scholarship has been established in memory of Jack Boerema, a pre-school student at DCS. Both of these scholarships require a separate application. See the links at the bottom of the page for the 3 different scholarship application forms.
Scholarship Forms
Scholarship applications are available and accepted until April 15. Scholarships are awarded by May 31.
